Vague_carrier once more with some information about the birds chosen for the poster. A number of the birds live here in Australia - we have amazingly diverse birdlife with over 700 native species.

My personal favourite of our native species is the nocturnal Night Parrot, which resembles a winged avocado and was feared to be extinct for about 100 years. In the past decade there have been several sightings and photos/videos captured - the species is still listed as critically endangered but with recent sightings there is more chance of saving them.
